Surf Your Life
A coaching and embodiment retreat where surfing becomes a mirror for life – revealing patterns, working through limitations and becoming an author of your own life.
May 10-17, 2026
What awaits you
A coaching and embodiment retreat for personal growth – grounded in surfing, yoga, reflection and community
This retreat invites you to explore how you meet life through movement, presence, and lived experience. It is designed for people with some experience in personal growth practices who are curious to engage the body more directly. Surfing is used as an embodied coaching practice: in the ocean, patterns around control, trust, limitation, and persistence become visible in real time. These experiences are explored and integrated through group coaching, embodiment practices, yoga, and guided reflection.
The week is shaped around a small number of core elements that invite learning through experience, reflection, and integration.
  • Surf as embodied practice
You’ll spend time in the ocean each day, supported by experienced surf coaches. The waves become a place where you can notice how you meet challenge, uncertainty, effort, and letting go – through direct experience rather than theory.
  • Group coaching & reflection
What happens in the water is brought into facilitated group conversations. You’re invited to reflect on what you noticed, connect it to your life, and explore new ways of responding.
  • Embodiment practices
Through movement, breath, and simple somatic exercises, you deepen awareness and help insights settle in the body – not just in your thoughts.
  • Yoga & regulation
Yoga sessions support your body and nervous system, helping you prepare for the surf, recover afterwards, and create space for integration.
  • Integration & quiet time
Guided reflection, journaling, and spacious time allow experiences to land. Rest, solitude, and unstructured moments are an essential part of the retreat.
For whom?
  • You have some experience with personal growth practices (such as meditation, yoga, or retreats) and want to explore embodiment more directly.
  • You are curious about surfing – whether you are a beginner or have some experience – and open to learning through the body and nature.
  • You feel well-resourced in many areas of your life, yet sense recurring patterns or limitations you would like to understand and work with.
  • You value reflection, presence, and meaningful connection with like-minded people in a calm, supportive environment.
Benefits of the retreat
This retreat is not about adding more techniques or fixing yourself. It is about creating the conditions to see more clearly, feel more present, and relate differently to challenge.
By the end of the week, you may notice:
  • Greater awareness of personal patterns and how they show up in daily life
  • An embodied sense of choice in moments of uncertainty or pressure
  • Increased trust in your ability to meet challenge – in the ocean and beyond
  • Practical ways to integrate insight through movement, reflection, and presence
  • A sense of connection, both to yourself and to a small community of like-minded people

Who facilitates?
  • Lina Veligurova
An EMCC-certified Senior Practitioner coach, somatic bodyworker, and yoga teacher, with a background in leadership and learning development. Her approach is grounded, relational, and experiential, supporting people in exploring how patterns show up in both body and life.

She works at the intersection of coaching, embodiment, and movement, drawing on practices such as yoga, somatic awareness, and reflection. For Lina, meaningful change happens when insight is not only understood, but felt and lived.

In her work, she creates spaces that invite presence, curiosity, and responsibility – where people can slow down, listen more closely, and explore new ways of relating to challenge. She is particularly interested in how movement and lived experience can support clarity, agency, and integration beyond the retreat setting.
  • Dejan Patic
Certified life and positive intelligence coach, with a background that bridges medicine, meditation, and long-term contemplative practice. His path has been shaped by years of working with presence, awareness, and the human experience across different cultures and contexts.

Surfing plays an important role in his work, not as a sport to master, but as an embodied teacher. In the ocean, Dejan invites attention to themes such as surrender, resilience, and responsiveness – offering a grounded way to observe how we meet challenge and uncertainty.

In his facilitation, Dejan brings a calm, attentive presence and a deep respect for individual processes. He creates spaces that support reflection, connection, and honest self-inquiry, allowing insight to emerge through lived experience rather than instruction.
